Weather station
Our weather station, a “Davis Vantage Pro 2 Plus”, is located in campus Gaiopolis, Larissa. It measures temperature, humidity, pressure, precipitation, wind and solar irradiance and reports the data online in real-time. The measurements are used by students in the course “Meteorology and Digital Systems”, as well as by faculty members working on environmental applications of digital systems.
PM station
In 2023 three PM stations were build by students enrolled in the course “Environmental Applications of Digital Systems”. One of them was deployed in campus Gaiopolis and transmits in real-time PM concentrations and other environmental data. It is comprised of a low cost PM sensor and a Raspberry Pi, courtesy of the Computer Systems Laboratory.
