Weather station
Our weather station, a “Davis Vantage Pro 2 Plus”, is located in campus Gaiopolis, Larissa. It measures temperature, humidity, pressure, precipitation, wind and solar irradiance and reports the data online in real-time. The measurements are used by students in the course “Meteorology and Digital Systems”, as well as by faculty members working on environmental applications of digital systems1.
PM station
In 2023 three PM stations were assempled by students in the course “Environmental Applications of Digital Systems”. One of them was built with a low cost PM sensor and a Raspberry Pi, courtesy of the Computer Systems Laboratory. It is currently deployed in campus Gaiopolis and reports real-time PM concentrations and other environmental measurements.
