Dr. Onoufrios Haralampous is an Associate Professor at the Department of Digital Systems, University of Thessaly. He specializes in modeling of heat and mass transport phenomena with applications in exhaust aftertreatment systems. His research activities extend to digital twins and environmental applications of digital systems, drawing on over 25 years of experience in the development of research and commercial simulation tools. He received his PhD from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2005. He then worked at the Laboratory of Applied Thermodynamics until 2007, subsequently co-founding the spin-off company Exothermia SA. Since 2010, he has been pursuing a career in academia, serving as a principal investigator in five research projects. He has coauthored more than 30 scientific papers in international journals and conferences on exhaust aftertreatment modeling, one of which was honored with the “Arch T. Colwell Merit Award” by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).
